Lohri Celebration at SSIT Mintu Computer Center

At SSIT Mintu Computer Center, we believe in creating an environment where learning and culture go hand in hand. This Lohri, our students and faculty came together to celebrate the vibrant festival with joy, unity, and traditional spirit.

The campus was beautifully decorated with festive elements like colorful kites, traditional Punjabi motifs, and cheerful music. The highlight of the event was the Lohri bonfire, where everyone gathered to offer sesame seeds, jaggery, popcorn, and groundnuts — a symbol of gratitude and new beginnings. The flames lit up the evening sky, bringing warmth, hope, and positivity to all.

Our students showcased their talents through cultural performances, including energetic Bhangra, traditional folk songs, and short skits that reflected the spirit of the festival. The energy and enthusiasm of the participants created an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.

During the celebration, faculty members shared the significance of Lohri — especially how it marks the end of winter and the start of a fresh season. Just like Lohri brings a new beginning, SSIT Mintu Computer Center aims to empower students with fresh opportunities in the world of technology and computer education.

The event ended with the distribution of traditional sweets and snacks, and lots of smiles all around. It was a perfect blend of culture, community, and celebration.

At SSIT Mintu Computer Center, we strive to build not just skilled professionals but also confident individuals who respect tradition and values. Lohri is more than a festival — it’s a reminder to celebrate progress, unity, and the joy of learning.
